Total commitment of meals to be delivered through to the end of 2022

Food From The Heart

‘We have a fundamental belief that no child should go hungry and together we can make a difference, one meal at a time.’ – Richard & Patricia Caring

Over two and a half million children in the UK face food poverty each month, a rise of 27% since before COVID-19 struck. Meanwhile millions are struggling with debt, with more than 1.5 million adults in Britain reporting they can’t buy enough food.

Working in partnership with established charities FareShare and The Felix Project, our Food From The Heart campaign, provides nutritious, balanced meals for children and their families who are struggling to provide the next meal.

Meet The Team

In the coming year, The Caring Family Foundation will ensure 6,000 children receive meals for every day of the school holidays, ensuring greater food security, while also working to help alleviate the shame and stigma from those struggling to afford food.

In Brazil, where 60% of children live in poverty, the Foundation has an immediate focus on São Paulo, where 58 million people live with food insecurity.

In 2020, the Caring Family Foundation launched two campaigns, One Million and One Meals and Food From The Heart delivering 1.14 million meals nationally to NHS workers and children living in food poverty in the UK. Another 1 million + meals are committed across the UK and Brazil in 2022, with 6,000 children receiving meals for every day of the school holidays.

Million and One Meals

During the height of COVID-19 and national lockdowns the Foundation brought together volunteers from across it’s hospitality network to produce and distribute one million and one meals to NHS workers and vulnerable communities impacted by the pandemic.

Meet The Team

As part of our ongoing commitment to tackle food poverty in the UK, The Caring Family Foundation has announced singer Anne-Marie as the ambassador for our Food From The Heart campaign. With Christmas posing a significant challenge to many families across the UK suffering from food poverty and food insecurity, the announcement comes as we unveil our second phase of activity to help bring 100,000 meals to children before Christmas and 6,000 meals daily during the holidays next year. Anne-Marie will be supporting the campaign into 2022 by using her platform to raise awareness of the issue faced by millions and volunteering her time at schools, food banks and community centres across the UK, which will provide ready prepared, nutritious meals to support families and children suffering from food insecurity.
