To raise funds for Sentebale’s vital work supporting young people affected by HIV in southern Africa, Sentebale held an event on Sunday 19th January 2020, hosted by Mr and Mrs Caring on behalf of The Caring Family Foundation The event raised £500,000.
The Caring Family Foundation responded after an explosion at the port of Beirut in Lebanon killed nearly 200 individuals, injured thousands more, and damaged the capital. Seeing the devasting destruction and loss of life, The Foundation raised funds and donated to Art of Hope, a charity working on the ground in Lebanon. Art of Hope, works to provide trauma relief for war-torn refuges with their grassroots partners on the ground, used the funds to provide emergency & long-term support for the victims.
As part of our ongoing commitment to tackle food poverty in the UK, The Caring Family Foundation has announced singer Anne-Marie as the ambassador for our Food From The Heart campaign. With Christmas posing a significant challenge to many families across the UK suffering from food poverty and food insecurity, the announcement comes as we unveil our second phase of activity to help bring 100,000 meals to children before Christmas and 6,000 meals daily during the holidays next year. Anne-Marie will be supporting the campaign into 2022 by using her platform to raise awareness of the issue faced by millions and volunteering her time at schools, food banks and community centres across the UK, which will provide ready prepared, nutritious meals to support families and children suffering from food insecurity.

The Voice judge kicked off her ambassadorship by visiting Surrey Square Primary School with The Caring Family Foundation in Southeast London, where 54% of children are eligible for Free School Meals and a further 5% of pupils have No Recourse to Public Funds due to their parent’s immigration status, meaning they cannot access Free School Meals. This has been a growing issue and concern for the school community for the past seven years.
